Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026

Bristol-Jones Group, LLC (“Bristol-Jones Group,” “the firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of visitors to its website and the individuals it works with. This policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

1. Who we are

Bristol-Jones Group, LLC is a United States limited liability company operating a design and app development practice. The data controller for purposes of this policy is Bristol-Jones Group, LLC, reachable at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

This website is intentionally minimal. We collect:

  • Server logs. Like most web servers, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically records standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, referring page, and time of request — for the limited purposes of security, abuse prevention, and operational reliability. These logs are retained briefly by our hosting provider and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
  • Correspondence you send us. If you write to [email protected] we will read your message and may reply to it. We retain correspondence for ordinary business-record purposes.
  • Client and engagement information. When we are engaged by a client, we collect the information necessary to perform the work — contacts, contract terms, payment details, and project data the client provides. Such information is handled under the engagement’s contractual terms.

We do not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or session-recording tools on this website.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, secure, and maintain this website.
  • Respond to inquiries and conduct ordinary business correspondence.
  • Perform contracted services for clients and meet our contractual obligations to them.
  • Comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements that apply to the firm.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf — for example, our hosting and email infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, SendGrid) — under terms that restrict their use of the information to providing services to us.
  • Clients, where the information relates to a client engagement and is shared as part of performing the work.
  • Authorities, where disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a good-faith determination that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.

5. Applications we build

Bristol-Jones Group designs and builds applications for clients, including applications submitted to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Each such application is operated by the client (or by the firm, where the firm is the publisher) and is governed by its own privacy policy, which appears in the application’s store listing and in-app documentation. This policy applies only to the Bristol-Jones Group website and the firm’s direct business operations.

6. Cookies

This website does not set cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes. Cookies that may be set incidentally by our hosting infrastructure for security purposes are limited to that function.

7. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, and as required by applicable law. Server logs are retained briefly by our infrastructure providers. Business correspondence and client records are retained for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period thereafter consistent with our legal and accounting obligations.

8. Children’s privacy

Bristol-Jones Group does not direct its services to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

9. Your choices

You may write to us at [email protected] to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request its deletion. We will respond within a reasonable time and will honor requests to the extent required by applicable law and our existing obligations.

10. International visitors

Our infrastructure is based in the United States. By using this website you understand that information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
